..Come thou fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace..
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace..
..Streams of mercy never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise...
Call for songs of loudest praise...
Today was one of the most wonderful photo shoots ever. Not just because I had two beautiful, wonderful girls to photograph, but because I see so much of their mother and grandmother in them. I know Jeanie misses her mother awfully and I know that Alathea would have loved more time with her grandma.
(and, I know this song isn't particularly "accurate" or "doctrinally sound" but I still like it...)
Yet, God's ways are not our ways!
(that bunny was a gift to Alathea from her grandma - let me tell you, she LOVES it)
Jeanie and Alathea are following in Mrs. Bowers footsteps - they are both beautiful, bold, strong and loving. I respect the Bowers family so much!!!

Martina McBride
Martina McBride
In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise
And I know no fearBut the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes
In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light
And the world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me
Gives me strength when I am weak
I find reason to believeIn my daughter's eyes
And when she wraps her handAround my finger
Oh, it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about
It's hangin' on
When your heart has had enough
It's giving more
When you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daughter's eyes
In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am
And what will be
Though she'll grow
And someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone
I hope you see
How happy she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes

ReplyDeleteThe photo of Kathy and Jeanie took me by surprise and I bawled... the picture captures Kathy's love for her dear child. The ones of Jeanie and Alathea capture the same. This is why I wanted you to take photos of me and my kids... you have a way of capturing the deep love of a mother and her children in true living color!
