Croatia is my dream vacation world. The beach and water seem perfect - better then San Diego. The thick forests and waterfalls are mouth-watering - and better then Costa Rica.I've heard it's less touristy then other parts of Italy + Greece by the water.

(pic stolen from google)I just want to flap my wings and fly there right now.

(pic stolen from kauflin fam)Croatia inspires me.And someday I will go there. And never return.Just kidding ;)Not.

ReplyDeletehawaii!!!!! so looove to go there!! :)
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to go to Cinque Terre, Italy. My brother went there a couple years ago and brought back pictures that he'd taken that looked like they could be on postcards. Plus the only way you can get there is from either hiking or I think a train. It sounds amaaazing. Croatia looks just as pretty though... hmm.. maybe I'll rethink my idea. =)
ReplyDeletePARIS!!! With the hubby of course :)
ReplyDeleteItaly! My husband has distant relatives there...and one day we are going to visit!
ReplyDeleteum, truth bomb... croatia is my dream too. WHAAAAAAAT? i know. right?

ReplyDeleteI desperately want to go to Ireland. The landscape is to die for. ;)
ReplyDeleteI dream of going to Tuscany with Paul. I had wanted to go for YEARS and amazingly got to go with two of my best friends this October...BUUUUUTTTT it was only 50% perfection because my other half wasn't there. So for a dream vacation, it would be to be with him in the rolling hills of sunshiney Tuscany!!
ReplyDeleteMy parents went to France for 2 weeks last year and since they've come home I've been dying to go and see it for myself. So, definitely Paris! :D

ReplyDeleteI know it's not the most exotic place, but man, they can cook!! plus, my hubby is part Italian AND I freaking LOVE that culture of family and joyfulness.
Someday. Someday.
Oh goodness. I have to pick ONE? This is way to hard. New Zealand? Costa Rica? Tour Europe?
ReplyDeleteProbably would have to pick New Zealand. When I was little I grew up with my grandpa's stories of the wonders of that beautiful country. He used to go there on vacation and would always tell me about how great it was.
oh, Greece - the blue, blue water, the lush countryside... I want to go there even more than I want to travel to Italy.
ReplyDeleteIndia!

South Africa!
ReplyDeletebeing the ridiculous multitasker that i am, my dream vaca would be several weeks going from one amazing place to another - specifically in Europe - with my husband. in some ways i can a quick and firm decision-maker. but when it comes to travel and amazing places - i have THE hardest time deciding. so my dream would be to travel by train and itty-bitty planes between various countries in Europe (specifically Ireland, the Netherlands and Greece, since that's where my and my husband's families are from).
ReplyDeletePS - i had never looked into Croatia before! thanks a LOT, now it is definitely on the "one day" list. :)
Dream vacation would have to be Venice. Maybe someday!
ReplyDeleteNew Zealand!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteoh gosh. there are so many places I've been, but SO MANY that I still want to visit!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say that currently I'd really love to visit Australia, because we have super close friends that just moved there for the next 4 years. It'd be so great to see them again....AND catch some waves! ;)

ReplyDeleteIt used to be Boston, but since I finally made it there last summer, my dream is now Maine, Avonlea, or Italy! Really, I would LOVE to visit any or all three of them. This way I can pick whether to stay in the country/continent, or travel across the ocean! :-)
ReplyDeleteWoah! Croatia is my DREAM place too!! I was just talking last night for about an hour about how I was in loooove with it. Because it is the best of everything... blue water. tropical temps. history. REAL LIVING OLD HISTORY (which I love and almost got my degree in!!) ... it is seriously the most amazing dream vacation. ever. WOO! YAY for same favorites!
ReplyDeletehawaii! :)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many places that I would love to go! If I had to choose one, it would be Paris. My ancestors are from there and I am learning the language. It would really cool to be able to go somewhere and speak their language!
ReplyDeleteLapa Rios, Costa Rica :) Jeremy found an article about it on yahoo and showed it to me and promised that someday when we have money we would go there :)
ReplyDeleteMy number one dream destination is England. I love {from reading and photos} everything about it from London to the country side. It would be so amazing if I were able to spend several months there at a time. I'm not sure if it will ever happen, but I can dream. :)
ReplyDeleteOh! A friend of mine is moving to London. Crazy! Maybe I'll have the chance to visit him sometime. That would be so fun! :)
I am 1/4 Croatian! Just thought I would throw that out there. And I think it is totally cool that Croatia is your dream vacation and that you actually know what Croatia is, since most people I talk to don't =P Anyways, my dream vacation is Ireland, the land of rolling green hills, beautiful scenery, and guys with adorable accents!
ReplyDeleteHands down, Italy. It is so beautiful...just take me to the coast of Italy and I'll be ever so content :)
ReplyDeleteCan I say everywhere? 'Cause I would like to travel the world... Or does Europe as a whole count? Maybe if I just start listing all the places I'd like to travel to, but that would take forever. :)
ReplyDeleteThere are SO many beautiful places in the world that I have never been, but I must say that one place kinda beats the rest for me, and that would be the Island of Mauritius.
ReplyDeleteThe Greek Islands. I once had a professor from there, and he always used to say that when he was ready to retire, he would get up in the middle of a lecture, walk out, return to the Greek Islands, and never look back. It has been on my list of places to go ever since :-)
ReplyDeleteI had no idea how beautiful Croatia is! I shall have to add going there (and learning Croatian) to the list...
ReplyDeleteI'm the luckiest gal, and living in my dream destination until July while I finish my studies!!! But! There are so many more places I'd love to go that I've never been. Top of the list are New Zealand and Hawaii. They're both so far away... I hope to get there someday.
Paris! Because it's so beautiful and romantic. I have always always wanted to go there. :) <3
ReplyDeleteThis may sound silly, but all I wanna do is go to the Kentucky Derby. Just once. It doesn't sound "dreamy" by anyone elses standards, but I've been dreaming about that since I was 11! I WILL get there someday! -stephanie
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit wales. I've already been to La Paz, Bolivia, which was pretty awesome...wouldn't mind going back =)
ReplyDeletei want to go to alaska, maybe take an alaskan cruise. i love the outdoors, mountains, scenery, wildlife, and peaceful space (tons of space)! Plus, living where the sun is either up or down for 12-18 hours seems like an added adventure too!
ReplyDeletePlus, my husband and i are thinking of moving there one day :)
New York City. For a girl from the midwest, it seems like the most fascinating place! I love the idea of a pl ace being a melting pot and knowing you can experience a million different things in one city.

Ooooh! I've never really thought of Croatia, but now I want to go!! It looks beautiful! My dream vacation would be to spend a good long time relax, take pictures, and just soak in the beautiful majesty of New Zealand :D.
ReplyDeleteI want to go to Ireland. That place just draws me in. It looks so beautiful, and given that my heritage is there, I am dying to go and explore it. Not to mention I am determined to have an Irish romance and find my husband there. Just like the movies. =P It can happen, right? Haha.
ReplyDeleteAnywhere along the beach. How about a small surf town in Cali? YES!!!
ReplyDeleteOrrr.... maybe Paris.
Oooohhhhh!! And Costa Rica.
And LONDON!!
Barbados! :)
ReplyDeleteI have multiple locations on my "to visit" list, but Australia has always been at the top. It's been my goal to visit before I turn 30. I have 9 more years to accomplish this goal...hmmm...better get cracking, huh!?!
ReplyDeleteIsrael. Australia. Italy. Greece. Germany. New Zealand. Fiji. Egypt. Hawaii. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kristen!
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I firstly ;) want to introduce myself. I've been reading (NOT stalking!hahah) your blog for several months now and I absolutely love love LOVE your photography style. :D
So now that you know who I am, I would love to answer your question. :)
My favorite vacation/trip would be to go to tour Italy (but specifically Venice!) I'm not sure why... it's probably because I think Venice is so beautiful and there is so much art & beauty in the architecture there. :)
End of super long comment. ;)
I absolutely want to visit Japan someday! I think the cities in Tokyo and Osaka would feel like visiting another planet. Plus the older Japanese architecture is beautiful! I would just need to learn Japanese before I go.
ReplyDeleteSo i have a photographer friend who travels all over the world and basically has been everywhere.. like i asked the most random places and she was like yepp. so i asked her where was the one place she had ever been that was pure beauty? i expected a beach or tropical destination because those are my favorite places, but she said if you want to see true untouched beauty: Antarctica is the most beautiful place on this earth. That is my dream vacation. :)
ReplyDeleteFiji, definitely Fiji
ReplyDelete...but i could also settle for the Cayman Islands or Greek Islands.
basically someplace awesome and tropical
London. with british accents. and red buses. old houses. umbrellas. and the feeling that mary poppins might just knock on your door at any minute.
ReplyDeleteoh goodness. i would never go home.
I think that Italy would be amazing.. I could handle living there for awhile. For sure.
ReplyDeleteDream vacation would involve Italy, Scotland and Ireland. All three places for pretty much the same reasons: stunning countrysides, amazing history, delicious foods and perfect accents :D. That is really only in my dreams. A slightly more practical and plausible dream would be Prince Edward Island. The lush grass along the seashore in a cottage (ok, I should be truthful, that is me honeymoon dream :)
ReplyDeleteWhile that is my "vacation", I have a much deeper desire to go -anywhere- to serve my King Jesus. To be a vessel of Truth, to be His hands and feet to the poor, lost and desolate. No specific place has yet been put on my heart, if God says GO, I will just go. Be it Haiti, India, Africa, Chicago.... or even Ireland. And so I wait patiently.
Someday I'd love to see Paris. I don't want to just stop there for a day or two - I think I'd be disappointed. It seems like the kind of place you'd need to stay for a couple weeks at to appreciate.
ReplyDeletePS - I am really digging the new design!! It looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteoh. my. goodness. totally italy. the water, and the colors and the FOOOOD! my goodness. the foor and the cheese. and the gondelas. and romance. totally my first choice vacation. one day...
ReplyDeleteA summer in Europe is my dream..... more specifically Paris, Italy, Germany and Greece (in that order!!)
ReplyDeleteMy dream vacation place would be Greece!
ReplyDeleteAfrica. Definitely.
ReplyDeleteMy dream vacation would be to travel Ireland. I mean, does it get much more romantic? Besides it's just gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteIsreal. Australia. Italy. Greece. Germany. Hawaii. :)
ReplyDeleteSiesta Key, FL.

ReplyDeleteSantorini Greece So pretty!
ReplyDeleteNew Zealand. :)
ReplyDeleteItaly. Definitely Italy, all the way.
ReplyDeleteIreland/Scotland/England.
ReplyDeleteI want to go soooo badly.
I've always wanted to go to Israel. Life happens, and I got so caught up in life happening that I missed the opportunity to go for free with Project Birthright. I still want to go, though--it is just going to take a little longer.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't told directly about your contest, but I was introduced to your blog by my sister, Elyse. After loving your wedding photography, I went to your original blog page and found the contest and thought: "Why not?"
I think my dream vacation would be to Ireland. I'm part Irish and It would be so amazing to go there!
ReplyDeleteI dream of the day when I can go with my husband (I am not yet married) to Paris, France. I want to take the walk that she speaks of in the movie "Sabrina" that takes you past all the bridges of Paris.
ReplyDeleteIreland or backpacking in Montana or Wyoming away from civilization for a while. Just to have peace
ReplyDeleteLothlorien in Middle-earth. I want to see the Elves and the mallorn trees!
ReplyDeleteI've dreamt of going to New Zealand since an ad first popped up on my internet page in middle school. Then, LOTR and Narnia inspired me. I dream of the day when I can be surrounded by the luscious scenery, the majestic mountains, and swim in its crystal clear waters. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI don't often think of Croatia, but with the pics you posted, that's definitely going on the list. But I think New Zealand is at the top of my dream vacation list :)
ReplyDeleteItaly and Ireland are tops on my list...the beautiful countrysides I see in people's pictures nearly takes my breath away...and now that I have seen a glimpse of Croatia...wow...I think that is going on my list too :)
ReplyDeleteAustralia, New Zealand, Ireland, Africa..
ReplyDeleteOk, so I know I am very late putting this in....but my hard drive died on my computer & then I got sick, first chance I've had to get to a computer. Anyway, my dream vacation is to go to Ireland. A majority of both of my parent's families came from their. Also in Ireland my name (Colleen) means girl & they call their little girls, colleens. Some day I will make there...
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to visit Ireland my whole life. My dad's side of the family is Irish and it was always his dream to visit before he was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. I would love to be able to see the land of my ancestors and experience that rich culture for my dad.
ReplyDeleteI'd LOVE to go to Australia!!! One day this will happen (preferably before kiddos :) but ofcourse this could be in my dreams too...
ReplyDeleteItaly! And I used to live just a few hours away! I cant believe I never went!
ReplyDeleteAnguilla. The end. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in Hungary at the moment, not too, too far from Croatia and I've been hearing the waterfalls there are spectacular. I hope to visit while I'm here.
ReplyDeleteMy dream is anywhere there's an ocean. Definitely the yummiest sounding at any given time of the day.
Paris. Between the famous sites and the food im dying to go.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to Italy. Not only does it look beautiful, but I'm thinking I could pack away some awesome pasta while I'm there!
ReplyDeleteI am infatuated with the thought of going on a week long road trip around the Pennsylvania/Maryland countryside. Really no clue why. It's been an almost obsessive dream of mine for a couple months. And of course I'd bring my camera. :D
ReplyDeleteOhhh... so many places to choose from! But I think I would have to go with Scotland/Ireland. The colors, the quaint cottages, the history and literature and mythos, the GREEN (which is a big deal to a desert girl like myself), the fact that it's part of my/my husband's heritage, the awesome accents ::swoon::... yeah...
ReplyDeleteI wanna go to an island! Any island! I've never been before and it's always been my dream...beautiful beaches, water, sand, views......ahhh....
ReplyDeleteProbably New Zealand or Switzerland, or Italy. I get to go to Italy and Switzerland this summer though!!!
ReplyDeleteI REALLY want to go to Italy someday and taste the authentic bread and gelato:)
ReplyDeleteI really would like to go to Ireland!
ReplyDeleteIreland....or maybe those little blue houses right by the ocean in Greece.
ReplyDeleteHey Kristen. It's Leah from 10/10/10 wedding. Oh sweet georgia brown how I love your posts...anyway I'm just cracking up right now 'cause KJ's groomsman who asked "How do you mean?" when you instructed to line up boy/girl/boy/girl is from Croatia/Serbia :) Just a bit of warning on their directional skills should you ever go there. Anyway hope you're well and we still continue to heart you...BIG TIME.
ReplyDeleteHi! It's Leah from 10/10/10 wedding. Oh sweet georgia brown how i love your posts...anyway I am just cracking up 'cause KJ's groomsman who asked "how do you mean?" when you instructed us to line up boy/girl/boy/girl is from Croatia/Serbia. Just a bit of warning as to their instructional understanding should you in fact actually visit there. Anyway, hope you are well and as blissful as you should be. We continue to heart you BIG TIME and are singing your praises to whomever will listen!
ReplyDeleteItaly. Not only is it beautiful and romantic, but my grandparents were both born in a town called Bari. My grandfathers 4 sisters never left, and thus I have many relatives there whom I've never met! Someday. :)
ReplyDeleteItaly. I'd love to know where the desire came from, but all I know is that my heart must get to Italy someday.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are always dreaming of going to France, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland... and Ireland. Sigh. Maybe someday...
ReplyDeleteVenice Italy - I love Europe and this is one place i have never been... :)
